DATA ARCHITECT

Job Title: Data Architect

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that support the organization's data management and analytics objectives. You will collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to ensure effective data integration, storage, and governance across various systems and platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data architecture designs.

• Design and develop data models, data integration processes, and data storage solutions.

• Define data standards, data governance policies, and data quality frameworks.

• Develop and maintain data architecture documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and data lineage.

• Collaborate with data engineers to implement data pipelines and data integration processes.

• Ensure data security and compliance with data protection regulations.

• Optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

• Define and implement data access and data retention policies.

• Collaborate with data scientists to enable efficient data analysis and machine learning processes.

• Stay up to date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices.

• Provide guidance and support to development teams on data-related issues and best practices.

• Participate in data-related decision-making processes, including technology selection and vendor evaluations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a strong track record of designing and implementing data solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques (e.g., ER/Studio, PowerDesigner).

• Strong understanding of data integration technologies and techniques (e.g., ETL, ELT).

• Experience with data storage technologies, such as relational databases, data warehouses, and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.

• Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications in data architecture (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty) are desirable.
